Every 1000 ft the school has placed a wireless router. In the liberary I can successfully connect and do what ever I want. When I go outside of the range of that router my computer picks up the next closest wireless connection, called renegade. Renegade uses a different brand of wireless router than liberary.

I can plug it in and connect no problem. The laptop sees my network (strength is excellent) but when I try to connect it can't do it anymore. My XP machine has no problems connecting via wireless so I know my router is ok. My router is a d-link WBR series. Any ideas?

Can I connect a Modem/router to a wireless router (Linksys WRT54G)? Any machines connected to the wired ports of the modem-router will be on a different subnet from wirelessly-connected machines, and will be unable to file- & print-share with them. I thought that was the whole purpose of a router?
